Here at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, we pride ourselves on being a club at the heart of the community. We work closely with a number of charities such as the Cube Disability throughout the year to raise as much money as possible so that they are able to carry out their vital work that helps so many of us in the local community. Charities can apply to have a bucket shake at one of our T20 matches which raise an average of £500 per match.
Wherever possible we support charity requests with tickets, we also have limited memorabilia which is put forward for charity auctions.

CHARITY OF THE YEAR
We are delighted to be working with The Nigel Wagstaff Charity for the 2017 season. Founded in 2016, The Nigel Wagstaff charity supports local fundraising projects within the community. This year, the charity has chosen to focus on supporting the Gosset Ward at Northampton General Hospital. They will be raising money to buy a Giraffe (Omnibed) Incubator to replace the existing, less advanced, models that are currently at the hospital.
The Giraffe incubator has several additional features to benefit the babies without the need for further equipment. By having an incubator which can be multifunctional with built in phototherapy lamps, examination lamps, humidification and temperature control it reduces the need for other equipment around the baby, making it easier for the parent to be closer to their little one. The Giraffe Incubator also gives a consistent flow of warm air within the incubator which allows the roof to lift off without the temperature of the baby being disturbed, further enabling parents to be closer to their baby.
Their target is £37,000 so we will be looking forward helping them reach this target with various events held at The County Ground over the next year.

Community day is a wonderful opportunity for the local community to come together and experience the game.
There will be lots on offer throughout the day, from face painting to bunking broncos and bouncy castles kindly provided by CMG - plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. All in all it’s a great day out! - Plus, its FREE.
Just turn up on the day - it's that simple!
Gates will open two hours before the start of play, see you there!
We will be hosting family day on Tuesday 1st August as the Steelbacks take on Birmingham Bears in the NatWest T20 Blast.
Why not bring all the family down to the County Ground on Tuesday to enjoy an afternoon of bouncy castles, face painting and a bucking bronco, as well as lots of delicious food and drink!
We hope to see you all there!
SCHOOLS DAY Monday 5th May | Monday 12th May
During the day, pupils will be able to watch the match from their seats in the stands and participate in a number of engaging and enjoyable activities during the lunch break that will teach them about cricket and give them the chance to experience the game for themselves in a safe and secure environment.
Every pupil will then leave the County Ground with a free souvenir of Northamptonshire County Cricket Club – a little something to remember the day by!
In previous years, Schools’ Days have been a great success, with plenty of children having fun whilst they continue to learn. This year, as well as cricketing activities, we are hoping to offer a range of other educational opportunities during the day, staged at different locations around our ground.
We will be holding a competition on each day, the winner of which will take home a Northants shirt signed by all the players.
To register your interest for either (or both) days, please email email@example.com for more information.
Our players regularly participate in school visits in and around the local area. These provide children with the opportunity to interact with the players, gaining an insight into the life of a professional sportsman. We provide coaching sessions, player appearances and Q&A sessions for all age groups.
If you would like the opportunity to participate in our Schools Programme, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Aside from the cricket, the County Ground hosts classes independent to the club. Our personal trainer, Aaron Wiles is also independent to the club and uses our gym to train his personal clients.
If you are interested in getting involved in any of these activities or simply wish to find out some more information regarding what’s on offer, see below for contact information.
