Frequently Asked Questions

I need to visit reception- where do I go?

The Club has two reception areas based on site. Our main reception, open on match days only, is based on the Abington Avenue side of the Ground, within the Lynn Wilson Centre. There is also our non-matchday reception, which is based at the back of the Ground on the Wantage Road side. This runs under standard 9am-5pm office hours and can be accessed using the internal road located to the right, upon entering the Ground through the front gates. Signage can be found all the way around this road to help direct you.
Please note that for security reasons, the back gates remain locked at all times, excluding match days when entry is permitted via this entrance/ exit.

What constitutes a Junior?

All juniors are 14 and under and should be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Ticket prices range from £1-£5 per junior, however juniors aged 7 and under can enter for free. Membership is just £10 for juniors.

Is there any allocated seating?

There is no allocated seating at the County Ground, which ultimately permits you to sit anywhere, other than the member’s stand (Spencer Pavilion) if you are a ticket buyer. We have a capacity of 5,000, however seating does work on a first come, first serve basis, so it is suggested that you arrive as early as you can, particularly for our busier games. Gates will open two hours prior to start of play.

For any families wishing to attend, the suggested seating area would be the ‘Briggs and Forrester’ stand as this is our allocated ‘family stand’. You are however permitted to sit elsewhere, should you wish.

Can I bring food and drink to matches?

Though there are various bar and catering outlets based within the Ground, guests are permitted to bring along a picnic hamper provided they take responsibility for their litter and use the bins provided wisely.

Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into Ground during Natwest T20 Blast and tourist matches. Four cans of beer or one bottle of wine is accepted for Royal London one Day Cup and LV=CC matches However Glass bottles are not permited in the ground therefore Both wine and beer must be brought in using plastic containers or a flask. Again, the Club reserves the right to search for and confiscate any excess alcohol. Please note that only plastic bottles and cartons are permitted on-site; glass products are not permissible.

Are there on-site parking facilities?

On-site parking facilities are available for all game types at £5 per car; however this does work under a first come, first serve basis. For all t20 games and selected Tour Matches, parking is also available for FREE at Abington Park which is about a two minute walk from the Ground.

Parking is also available for blue badge holders, however spaces are limited and, as with all our parking, it would be first come, first serve.

Please note that for all concerts held at the Ground, there will be no parking available on-site for members, ticket buyers or customers, it will all be based either at Abington Park or near and around the Ground.

Is there any discount for senior citizens?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any discount for senior citizens on ticket and membership prices at this time.

I’m a disabled guest- what facilities are available to me?

There is no allocated seating at the Ground, so disabled guests are welcome to sit anywhere. For members, there are specific spots within the Spencer Stand where wheelchair users can go.

There are four access points into the Ground for wheelchair users, plus there are various disabled car parking spaces in both the Abington Avenue and Wantage Road car parks, upon the presentation of a blue badge.

Disabled toilet facilities are based at various points around the Ground.
