Most recently Chris has been working as 1st team strength and conditioning coach at Aston Villa football club, Working within the Sport Science and Medicine department. Chris worked closely with an interdisciplinary team to optimise physical performance through planning and evaluating daily training sessions, using various methods including GPS Analysis. Chris played a key role in the physical preparation and recovery strategies for 1st Team players through gym and field based training to optimise performance and reduce injury risk, with specific focus in the gym. Chris was also Heavily involved in the rehabilitation of athletes returning to play following injury, as well as individualised injury prevention strategies based on movement screen results and individual needs.
