Bud Bailey joins released list

Northants Cricket has announced that Shaun 'Bud' Bailey will not be offered terms with the club for the 2010 season.

The club recognises that the 20-year-old seamer has struggled with fitness and form, whilst not enjoying playing his cricket under professional contract obligations and it has been mutually decided to not embark on those terms for the 2010 season.

Whilst the club recognises that the Norfolk-born bowler has an abundance of raw ability, we feel it is important for him to rediscover passion and desire for the game and will continue to keep 'the doors open' in case he does.

Head Coach David Capel said, "I see that Shaun still has potential, so if he ever rediscovers the necessary ingredients and that love for the game, we will be pleased to have another look."
