England U19's were set to play a Friends Provident one-day international against Bangladesh U19's here at the County ground today. Rain had constantly fallen since the teams arrived this morning, so the umpires decided to take an early lunch (12.15pm) and inspected the County Ground pitch shortly after.
David Willey who was rested from the Northants LV County Championship match against Gloucestershire this week, looked set to play for England U19's after impressing in the 2nd Test, but must have been frustrated to just sit in the changing rooms all morning.
Shortly before 2pm, the umpires abandoned the match as the rain kept falling.
