England Women coach at the County Ground

On Thursday and Friday at the County Ground, 30 of Northamptonshire's up and coming young girls were treated to a training session with two of England Womens World Cup double winners Ebony Rainford-Brent and Lydia Greenway.

The England stars who have managed nearly 80 international caps between them demonstrated fielding drills used in the England coaching programme, they also led batting and bowling skill sessions.

Ebony commented on the high standard of the girls and joked that she would like to take a couple of the Girls back to Surrey with her. An option quicky refused by Andy O'Connor, the coach of the County's Senior Ladies and Under 17 teams.
