Northants Cricket is one of the 18 major county clubs which make up the English professional domestic cricket structure.
Reporting to the Head Coach and working closely with the Club Physiotherapist, the Northants Cricket Strength and Conditioning Coach will be responsible for providing support services to the ECB centrally contracted Northants Cricket players, the professionally contracted NCCC players and the Northants Cricket Academy and Emerging players.
Key responsibilities:
To deliver Strength and Conditioning as part of an interdisciplinary support team.
To develop, implement and evaluate Strength and Conditioning programmes that reflect scientific principles as they relate to adaptation, periodisation, peaking, tapering and injury rehabilitation.
The successful applicant will have:
UKSCA accreditation (or ECB sanctioned equivalent) or evidence of working towards accreditation.
Experience in the provision of Strength and Conditioning services with high performance teams for a minimum of five years.
Experience in Strength and Conditioning and sports injury prevention / rehabilitation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer literacy including MS Office, databases and performance analysis software.
Full Driving licence.
Desirable:
Undergraduate and Graduate qualifications in Sports Science and / or Strength and Conditioning.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary environment.
A proven track record of physical performance development within sport
Knowledge of the game of cricket.
Annual Salary:
£ 28,000 - £ 32,000
