Monty selected in Lord's squad.

Northants' star spinner Monty Panesar has been included in England's 14-man squad for the 2nd Ashes test starting this Thursday.

Fresh from Sunday's heroic last-wicket stand alongside James Anderson, Panesar will be hoping to play in the next test match.

Monty survived tremendous pressure to bat out 11.3 overs, to earn a valuable draw for a second-best England, at the Swalec Stadium, Cardiff.

The ECB announced the 14-man squad at 2pm today, which is:

Stuart Broad Nottinghamshire

Paul Collingwood Durham

Alastair Cook Essex
