Northants 2nd XI vs. Surrey 2nd XI: day two

Northamptonshire's batsmen failed to fire as Surrey took control of the Second XI Championship match at Campbell Park on Thursday.

Replying to the visitors' 231-9 declared, the County crumbled to 166 all out with Paul Harrison's 56 the solitary individual contribution of note. Of his team-mates, only David Lucas (21), David Murphy (20) and Dan Bendon (10) reached double figures.

Former England paceman Alex Tudor claimed 4-43 and Surrey closed on 169-4 in their second innings - a lead of 234 going into the final day.
