"Lend Your Cricket Experience, Get Paid To Sit In The Best Seat In The Ground!"
Northants Cricket is searching for someone with good cricket knowledge and reasonable computer knowledge to fulfil the role of Video Analyst for 2009.
The role is required for all home matches and involves watching the game from the players balcony and, using a simple piece of software, recording where the ball pitched, what shot was played and where the ball went. In addition, the role-holder will extract highlights of players/teams from previously recorded footage. Full training will be provided – in reality, the core of the role requires 3 to 4 mouse clicks for each ball.
A daily or hourly rate will be paid to the successful applicant along with complimentary membership and car parking on match days.
This is an interesting and fulfilling role that puts the role-holder right in the thick of the days plays.
Phil Rowe, Performance Coach, has responsibility for the video capture and analysis work. "The video analyst role is very important in providing information and insights into our own and opposition strengths and weaknesses. We use this to help prepare for future matches and to inform our players' coaching programmes. Ideally we'd like to appoint someone who has good cricket knowledge – the technical aspect of the role is pretty straightforward given a little bit of training, and there will always be support on site during matches should this be required. If interested, please give me a call in the first instance."
Phil can be contacted at the ground on (01604) 609241"
