The Steelbacks earned a vital point for a No Result, after the match against Somerset was rained off.
Ian Harvey and Rob White started the Steelbacks innings in fine form racing to a half century in just five overs, but shortly after a heavy thunderstorm halted proceedings.
The game never got going again and the umpires abandoned the match shortly after 7.45pm.
There were thoughts of the game getting reduced to five overs a side, with Somerset needing 56 (via D/L method) to earning the two points on offer.
Yet the conditions didn't improve quick enough, meaning the Steelbacks travel to Cardiff leading the division.
