With the new football season ready to start, Northants Cricket would like to offer Northampton Town Football Club all the best wishes for their forthcoming Coca-Cola League Two campaign.

Everyone at the County Ground is hoping the Cobblers can achieve their goal of promotion back up to Coca-Cola League One at the first attempt.

Northants Cricket Chief Executive Mark Tagg said, "We would just like to say good luck to the Cobblers for their 2009/10 season. The Cobblers are chasing promotion just like we are, and it would be fantastic for the town if both teams can fulfil their targets and push through a golden era of sport in the county.

We as a club are looking forward to facing the 'Cobblers' in a Golf Challenge day at Collingtree golf course on September 7^th and it would be get if both clubs are riding high, going into that fabulous event."
