Northants Cricket is delighted to announce that National law firm Shoosmiths has signed a partnership deal to support the club throughout the current season.
The firm, which has had a major presence in Northampton for almost 170 years, has been keen to partner with one of the region’s major sporting brands.
Shoosmiths will feature as the main sponsors at the Royal London One-Day Cup match between the Northamptonshire Steelbacks and Worcestershire Royals on Tuesday 29 July at Milton Keynes' Campbell Park Winston's Wish, the charity for bereaved children and Shoosmith's charity partner will benefit from a collection on the day. Throughout the season there will be boundary board and match-day advertising at the County Ground.
Shoosmiths senior associate Simon Fennell said: ‘This will be the first major game held at Campbell Park this year and we’re proud to be associated with it. Northants Cricket have been looking for the support of the local business community as they work to build stronger links with Milton Keynes, and we are happy to have signed a formal agreement with Northants Cricket and work with them on this match. With Shoosmiths' presence in both Milton Keynes and Northampton, it made perfect business sense for us to link up with the club for this match. This game brings both towns together, and will be a fantastic community event.’
Northants Cricket chief executive David Smith said: ‘It’s great to have Shoosmiths on board as sponsors of Northants Cricket and of our first returning game to Campbell Park in Milton Keynes this year. It made perfect business sense to team up with Shoosmiths since both brands share a rich history in Northampton. It’s great to see support from local business partners in this venture which we are sure will benefit them as much as us.’
The Royal London One-Day Cup game begins at 10.30am on 29 July and promises to be a great day out for all the family. Tickets for this game are available on the Northants Cricket website or for more information, contact NCCC reception via email at email@example.com or call 01604 514455
