Head Coach David Ripley has given an update on both the injuries of David Sales and Rob Keogh sustained in recent days against Durham and Middlesex respectively.
Sales’s injury came on Friday night as the Steelbacks faced the Durham Jets in the NatWest T20 Blast and whilst fielding, Sales slipped on the creasy surface at the County Ground.
Ripley told the Northampton Telegraph, “David’s injury, has been scanned and is a grade three tear of his ankle ligaments so that’s a good length of time on the sidelines”.
“We really can’t be sure when he will be fit again but it will be a while.”
Meanwhile, Rob Keogh’s injury came about on Sunday afternoon as he attempted to take a catch from Dawid Malan at Lords.
Ripley added on the Keogh injury, “Rob had a catch burst through his hands and he dislocated a finger, which has shown to be broken”.
“At this stage it doesn’t look like an operation will be needed but it’ll probably be at least four weeks before we can consider him again”.
