Seconds' match peters out at MK

Northamptonshire's Second XI Championship match against Somerset at Campbell Park petered out to the tamest of draws on Thursday.

Resuming on 137-2, 67 runs ahead, the visitors opted to bat right through the final day's play and had reached 392-6 when the teams shook hands.

James Regan led the way with an unbeaten 124 and Max Waller hit 68 - while for the County Vicram Sohal claimed a couple of wickets with one apiece for Gemaal Hussain, Maurice Chambers, Kyle Coetzer and Saif Zaib.
