Northants Cricket is delighted to announce that Steven Crook, Andrew Hall and Richard Levi have been nominated for June’s Steffans Jewellers Player of the Month.
In the LV= County Championship match against Middlesex, Steven Crook saved the Northants innings, as he hit his maiden First Class century. This followed an excellent unbeaten 52 against Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston in the NatWest T20 Blast just a few days earlier. Crook has also been more than useful with the ball having taken seven wickets throughout the month of June.
Andrew Hall also found his groove in June. Hall scored 237 runs in three LV= County Championship games at an average of 79, which included two half centuries. Hall is another who has contributed with ball taking three wickets.
The final June nomination is Richard Levi, proving he isn’t just a T20 specialist. Levi made his First Class debut at the start of the month in the tour match against Sri Lanka and made an immediate impression, hitting an impressive 64. He followed this up with an excellent 76 in the NatWest T20 Blast clash with Yorkshire Vikings, and then hit another half century, this time in the LV= County Championship against Lancashire, giving him a First Class average of 36 for the month.
The winner of the Steffans Jewellers Player of the Month will get a Hugo Boss watch. Whilst one lucky fan who votes, will win four tickets to the Nottinghamshire Outlaws NatWest Blast game on Wednesday 23rd July.
