The Robert Pack indoor Cricket Competition closes on a high

Northants Recreational Cricket can announce the successful conclusion of the Robert Pack Cricket Indoor league based at the County Ground, has finished its opening season.

The league was played over 10 weeks consisting of 10 teams playing in the Northants Cricket Leagues.

The competition was split into two divisions with each team playing each other twice. There has been some excellent matches including a draw and the winners of division two only being established on the last game of the season.

Old cricket club finished in top spot in division 2 and Old Northamptonians were the winners of division 1. ONÂ’'s will go on to represent Northamptonshire in the national competition. This consists of many preliminary rounds with the finals, if they get there being hosted at Lords.

Derek Styman, Cricket Development Manager for Northants Recreational Cricket said of the competition, "We would like to thank Robert Pack for sponsoring the indoor league and all of the teams for making it a success. We are running the league again post Christmas and hope for it to be as successful as the one we just completed."
