Strength & Conditioning Coach gives talk at Virgin Active Gym

8th January 2013

In partnership with Virgin Active Gyms and Northants Cricket, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach David Sutton recently held a workshop and seminar for Virgin Active personal trainers at Virgin Active’s Riverside Northampton Gym.

15 personal trainers from Virgin Active gyms in Northampton, Milton Keynes, Rugby and Birmingham attended as David presented a seminar entitled “Screaming Waiters, Jamie Oliver and the Myth of Core Stability... Or how to truly make a difference", before giving the trainers a practical workshop.

David Sutton said of the club’s partnership with Virgin Active, “Having access to Virgin Active’s extensive facilities both in Northampton and around the country when the team travels away for matches is a considerable asset for the club. It allows us to manage the individual needs of players in the most effective ways possible.”

“We are looking forward to continuing and developing this partnership in preparation for our pre-season camp to Barbados and in the upcoming season."

James Smith, Personal Training Manager, Virgin Active Northampton said, "I would like to thank David for giving up his free time to run a seminar for us. We managed to get personal trainers from across the region together to learn from David's past experiences and pick his brains for any help he could give us with our own clients and our own exercise techniques. We will be arranging more seminars with him moving into the new year over many different topics in order to up skill ourselves and continue our own personal development as the Virgin Active Personal Training team"
