Northants players took time out from their winter training schedule to sprinkle some festive spirit at the Children’s ward at Northampton General Hospital.
Club captain Stephen Peters said of the visit "It was a great pleasure for us to visit the children’s ward to bring some seasonal joy to the patients and their families at Christmas time. We were delighted to come along to see the fantastic work of all the staff at the hospital and to bring a few smiles to those who are going through some tough times."
Play service co-ordinator at the hospital Sue Faulkner added "We would like to thank the cricket team for visiting the wards yesterday. They spent time with the children handing out flags and signing autographs. The children, their families and the nurses really enjoyed the time they spent with them."
Northants Cricket are looking to make this an annual visit in the hopes that as a club we can reach out to the community on a more regular basis.
