The Road to Lords starts this Sunday when David Ripley’s men take on a tough Nottinghamshire Outlaws outfit in the Steelbacks’ first Yorkshire Bank 40 clash of the season – a match that could see England stars Graeme Swann and Stuart Broad play.
Sunday’s match is also Northants Cricket’s Family Day so there will be plenty of entertainment on offer at the County Ground from 1.45pm.
After a stunning start to the LV= County Championship season, this match will be the first chance for the Steelbacks to make amends for a difficult 2012 campaign.

Matthew Spriegel, Ben Duckett, Olly Stone and Con de Lange all come into the squad with Rob Newton and David Murphy missing out from the unchanged Championship side. Rob picked up a groin strain in Canterbury.
David Willey or Trent Copeland may be rested from bowling duties and Club Captain Stephen Peters could also sit out in what will be Steelbacks’ captain Alex Wakely’s first game in charge this season.
Youngster Ben Duckett takes over the wicketkeeping duties in David Murphy’s absence.
