Northants batsman Kyle Coetzer has been named as the new captain of the Scottish international team, and begins his new role in a double header against Pakistan this week.
Kyle will be in charge when Scotland take on Pakistan in two one-day internationals at The Grange in Edinburgh on 17 and 19 May.
"It will be an immense honour and a fantastic occasion which will fill me with pride leading out my country against a cricketing powerhouse like Pakistan," said Coetzer.
"More importantly though, we are seeing this as a great opportunity to showcase our skills and test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world."
Wicketkeeper David murphy has also been selected for the two matches.
All at Northants Cricket would like to congratulate Kyle on his new role.
