Club’s thoughts are with Geoff Cook

Northants Cricket is saddened to hear the news that former club captain Geoff Cook has suffered a suspected heart attack and is undergoing treatment in hospital.

Cook, who is Head Coach of Durham CCC, enjoyed a long career as a player with Northamptonshire, making 415 appearances runs between 1971 and 1990.

He scored 23,277 first-class runs, and over 8,000 one day runs, playing in seven Tests for England in 1982 and the New Year's Test of 1983.

Geoff is also the County’s leading List A appearance maker, playing in 359 games for Northants.

Our thoughts are with Geoff, his wife Judith and his family
