Northampton based ‘The Bighead’ to support Madness at the County Ground
Northants Cricket can announce that local band the Bighead from New Duston, Northampton are set to support Madness at the County Ground this summer. Bringing their original fusion reggae sound, incorporating a righteous word-style that harks back to Bob Dylan, these guys are not to be missed!
September will see the release of their first Album with tours planned in Germany in November. Make sure you catch The Bighead at the County Ground First.
The main support will be provided by Leicester based band By The Rivers, who have already supported Madness earlier this year. With their unique blend of Reggae, Ska, and Soul, combined with rich vocal duets, and a soaring brass section, it’s easy to see why this band stands apart from the crowd.
Infectiously catchy and incessantly energetic, By The Rivers are definitely a band to watch this year!
Madness are renowned for their high energy live shows and their love of British tradition and will be performing on Saturday evening 22nd September when the County Ground will play host to Madness’s quintessentially quirky pop classics.

Northants Cricket is delighted to be welcoming music nights back to the venue, having hosted a night with Elton John back in 2010. The ground are expecting sell out figures of 12,000 and anticipate that this event will firmly secure them as one of the areas premium music venues.

Fans alike are being urged to book their places as soon as possible for what is predicted to be a sell-out concert. 2012 was an incredible year for Madness. They performed on the roof of Buckingham Palace for the Queens Jubilee, played to a television audience of millions at the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony and released their 10th studio album Oui Oui, Si Si, Ja Ja, Da Da to much acclaim and top 10 Official Chart placing.
