Christian Davis boosted Northamptonshire's Second XI with an excellent century to leave the County well on top after two days of their Championship match against MCC Universities at Desborough.
His knock of 115 off 244 balls - including 17 fours - helped Northamptonshire to 322 all out, a first-inniings lead of 128.
Davis and Matthew Plater (50) shared a fifth-wicket stand worth exactly 100 before Zak Khawaja weighed in with a handy 32. Alex McQueen (6-97) and Jon Denning (4-56) shared the wickets for the students.
The Universities closed on 152-5 in their second innings - just 24 runs ahead - with Matt Spriegel and Jack Goode picking up a couple of wickets apiece, and Northamptonshire will lhope to close out the match on Friday.
