More Worcester woe for seconds

Northamptonshire's Second XI continued to struggle on the second day of their match against Worcestershire at New Road on Wednesday - despite a half-century from James Kettleborough.

The hosts progressed from 233-3 overnight to 441 all out - a first-innings lead of 247 - thanks to Alexei Kervezee (156) and Brett d'Oliviera (80no).

Off-spinner Aditya Rai claimed 3-80 with a couple of wickets apiece for Ollie Stone, Luke Evans and Saif Zaib.

Northamptonshire then lost Josh Tolley early on in their second innings, and despite a fighting second-wicket stand between Kettlesborough (60) and Zak Khawaja (42no) the County closed on 131-4 - still trailing by 116 with six wickets standing and a day to go.
