Northants Cricket batsmen David Murphy, Stephen Peters and Alex Wakely will be travelling to Bangalore, India over the half term week to spend time in outdoor conditions and work on their batting skills.

The trip is being funding by the players themselves during a week off and was organised by Don Bagwhati, the owner of City Cricket Academy in Leicester.

The batsmen will enjoy a week of batting training focusing on hitting a lot of balls in order to getting into a position ready for the season.

Wicketkeeper batsman David Murphy said of the upcoming trip, “We are looking forward to getting practice outside. Hopefully this will enable us to be in the best position for the season and make it as successful as last year.

“We’d like to thank Don for the work he’s put in to organising this on the behalf of us three. If successful, hopefully it forges a route for the players to practice their skills abroad in the future.”
