Duckett Shines As England Defeat UAE


Northants Cricket’s wicket keeper Ben Duckett continued his fine form for the England Under-19’s, as he played a key role in the team defeating UAE in their opening Under 19 World Cup game. Duckett who scored 92 in a warm-up game against Scotland on Monday, hit 83 off 80 balls, as England finished on 315 for 8.

Duckett was finely supported by Ed Barnard who scored 93, as the pair put together a great partnership of 151 runs for the fourth wicket. UAE who are hosting the World Cup, were totally overmatched, as they could only muster 102 in reply, losing by 213 runs.

Next up for England will be Sri Lanka on Sunday 16th February, who beat New Zealand today by 49 runs.
