Last month Northants Cricket Head Strength and Conditioning Coach David Sutton was a guest lecturer for a class of first year Sports Studies students at The University of Northampton.
This was part of the close ties Northants Cricket and The University of Northampton now have and are continuing to work on, following the partnership agreement signed earlier this year.
David went through his role at Northants and how the team changed the way they train and what they focus on at training, as well as what methods he has brought to the club to prevent injuries. David also gave some great advice to the young students, as they focus on their studies before planning for their future careers.
David said, “We really value the partnership that we have with the University of Northampton. It allows us to share expertise and resources on a regular basis. As part of this relationship, I was honoured to speak to their sport students on my experiences in my first season at Northants as well as talk more generally about the growing role of Strength and Conditioning in the UK.”
David also ran the Silverstone Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd March in aid of The MS Society UK. If you would like donate please go to the following link https://www.justgiving.com/davidcsutton/
