Curtley Ambrose Knighted

During the interval of the One Day International between West Indies and England, former Northants Cricket and West Indies Fast Bowler Curtley Ambrose was knighted in a special ceremony.

Ambrose was honoured by his native Antigua at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium alongside Andy Roberts and Richie Richardson. Ambrose represented the County between 1989 and 1996, and was part of the 1992 NatWest Trophy winning side.

He racked up a total of 405 wickets in 98 Test matches and took 226 wickets in 176 one-day internationals, as he formed a legendary fast bowling partnership with Courtney Walsh, that harassed teams throughout the 90’s.
