Northants Cricket Adds Three New Board Members
New Northants Cricket Chairman Gavin Warren is delighted to announce that three new members will be joining the Northants Cricket committee.
Gary Hoffman has accepted our invitation to join Northants Cricket Committee and be a part of both the Commercial and Finance sub-committees. He brings extensive experience of both the business and sporting worlds. For example, he has been Chief Executive of Barclaycard, was appointed by the government to rescue Northern Rock, is Chairman of the Football Foundation and led Barclays’ worldwide sponsorship of the Premier League.
Simon Ingram will serve on the Finance and Legal sub-committee. He is a partner in EMW Law where he practices as a real estate lawyer. He has been closely involved with MK Dons and the development of stadiummk for 14 years and now chairs the Football Club’s charity MK Dons Sports & Education Trust. He is also Legal Trustee of MK Gallery which currently has proposals to carry out a £10m extension to the Gallery.
Ray Payne has spent a career in the hospitality and leisure industry, most notably as Managing Director of the Champneys Group of companies. Ray will bring an added commercial acumen to the board, based in Northampton Ray has provided advice and assistance to many other sporting businesses in the county.
Gavin Warren commented, “We are extremely fortunate to obtain the expertise of these three highly respected individuals. I feel that they will add a lot of value to the future and continual growth of Northants Cricket.” The board is now a powerful group that will be able to support Chief Executive David Smith execute the cricket club’s 5 year strategy.
