On the final day of the pre-season fixture between Northants and Yorkshire, both teams agreed to play forty overs each, after Yorkshire were bowled out the previous evening.
Northants struggled to get a lengthy partnership going, with the openers putting on the biggest partnership with a combined 54 runs. Kyle Coetzer and Steven Crook were the high scorers for Northants, with both looking impressive in scoring 35.
In reply, much like the second day, Yorkshire started strongly as Lyth and Williamson put on 116 between them for the opening wicket. Following Lyth retiring for the opening wicket, only Kane Williamson made a significant impact scoring 90, before Matthew Spriegel dismissed him. Spriegel was the pick of the bowlers taking 2 for 32 from four overs.
This was the final pre-season game for Northants, as they host champions Durham, in their opening LV= County Championship fixture, which starts on Sunday. Advanced tickets cost only £10 and can be purchased here.
