Injury Update

This page will give Steelback fans the chance to keep up to date with any injuries to players, as well as how they are recovering and when they are expected to return.

Alex Wakely

Alex is progressing nicely, his walking is improving and this week reached a milestone, in being able to walk on tip toes.

Alex will be able to have his first net session next month, however he will not be able to start any running drills until late July.

David Willey

As almost everyone is aware, David is back bowling again and we are happy to say there have been no adverse reactions.

This week, David has been working on his volume of bowling, with the hope of being in contention for the LV= County Championship match.

David Murphy

David Murphy has missed the last two weeks, due to a ligament strain in his thumb.

On Wednesday, he will see a hand specialist at the Three Shires Hospital, with the hope of getting the all clear to start his progression towards returning to action.

Ian Butler

Ian has almost recovered from a muscle strain in the abdomen region.

He has been working hard with Head Strength and Conditioning Coach David Sutton, to be back for the next set of NatWest T20 Blast games.
